Today, I had one of those moments that really reminded me how much parenting from a divine feminine perspective means to me. My 9-year-old son was out riding his old bike, enjoying the freedom and joy that comes with a little independence. I decided to grab his new bike and go find him, just to see that smile on his face.
When I caught up to him, riding around our apartment complex, the look of shock and joy on his face was priceless. "Moooommyyy," he shouted with pure excitement. But instead of rushing over, he took the opportunity to show me his latest bike tricks—full of pride and confidence. In that moment, I didn’t correct him, didn’t interfere. I just let him be in his element, and that’s what parenting from the divine feminine looks like: holding space for your child to shine and express themselves freely.
I knew how much he loves listening to music, so I handed him my headphones and let him enjoy the moment even more. I followed closely behind, riding his bike, not trying to direct him, but simply being present. Divine feminine energy in parenting is about intuitively knowing what your child needs without taking over their experience. It’s nurturing without controlling, guiding with love instead of authority, and creating space for their independence to bloom.
Parenting from a divine feminine angle means being in tune with your child's emotional and spiritual needs. It’s about nurturing their individuality and embracing their curiosity. It’s giving them the tools to explore the world while also providing a safe and loving environment to return to. These moments—riding bikes together, listening to music—are simple but profound. They come from a place of love, patience, and understanding.
When we parent from this space, we’re not just raising children; we’re helping to shape confident, emotionally aware individuals. We’re teaching them how to honor themselves, how to love, and how to express their truth in a world that often tries to dim their light.
By embracing the divine feminine in parenting, we allow ourselves to lead with our hearts, to create meaningful connections, and to teach our children by example—showing them that nurturing their spirit is just as important as any lesson in life.
XOXO,
Desiree
